Five history archives across Tending coastal towns have made their treasures available to Resorting to the Coast: Harwich & Dovercourt, Frinton & Walton, Clacton, Jaywick Sands.
We seek volunteers to help uncover the treasures of these archives. You will be amazed at the depth of the material in these archives. Commentary on early Clacton, maps of Walton, programmes of Frinton Summer Theatre, Dovercourt in its Edwardian glory days - all just waiting to see the light of day on our website!
The challenge involves hunting for interesting photographs, documents, posters, magazines and preparing them for our website editors to upload content for the wider public to see the nuggets of historical 'treasure'.
